1st November 2012

Since I got out of hospital on 7th October, I have been getting my wounds packed every day. I have got my appetite back and have got more energy, but not putting on any weight yet, still 7 stone. So I have got Ensure drinks that are like 600 calories so I drink 2 a day and see what happens :-)

I got an infection in one of my wounds couple of days ago and had to go to Doctor on Call and get anti biotics because it was bleeding quite heavy.

And we had to cancel our holiday to Dublin (Ireland) to see Nicki Minaj and our hotel for 3 nights, we were looking forward to it but we got full refund on the hotel and sold the tickets as well :) so at least we got our money back!

We had to cancel our holiday because I seen my Surgeon recently and he said he didnt think it was wise for me to go away, and that he wants me in hospital in a few days for an EUA (examination under aneastic) and depending on what they find depends on whether i have to have Major Surgery and possibly my colon, rectum or bowel removed, if either are infected by Crohns/Colitis……….

I will be back to write some more once I have the EUA! :)

thanks for reading xxx

10th October – sorry for the long wait on a new post!!

I have recently spent the last 17 days in hospital over an abscess at my back passage AGAIN.

Had to go to theatre 3 times whilst I was in, had drains at my back passage to help heal the abscess once it was cut out, I had a bad infection and suspected bone infection. Had an MRI scan and had to spend my 22nd birthday in hospital :-(

I am out now, back home, lost a stone and now trying to put it all back on!! Eating anything fattening – hehe

Having a good day today, thankfully, its about time!! Hope it continues

I have to have the district nurse out for weeks until my wound heals :( which sucks but if it heals my wound properly this time I will be happy!!!

fingers crossed it doesnt turn into another fistula!!!!!!

thats all for today :) stay tuned!! …… :-D xxx

When Kerri (my girlfriend) wanted to see what its like having a bag!

Image

Above picture is my wonderful girlfriend Kerri Jones, we were changing Lulu and I said to Kerri “why dont you try one on and walk about, bend down etc and see what she thought of the bag.”

So she did, she had it on for 20 minutes, walked around, looked in the mirror, tried bending down and reaching up etc, and she thought it was weird even without the pain and the noises and without there actually being a stoma there. She mentioned that she wouldnt be able to do the job she does with a bag on, which was interesting. She does alot of heavy lifting in work and warehouse work as she is a sale manager.

Tonight we are going to put some liquid in it and see how she feel with it being heavy.

We just wanted to do a wee experiment :-)

And for all who wonder how i am feeling, i went to see my stoma nurse yesterday and it went well, she was nice and there was no tears this time, managed to be in and out in 30 minutes :-) she said Lulu looked well but she looked quite small so I may have to get different bags but we will wait and see, as i have had no leaks so far

and Lulu was 1 month old yesterday :-D

Well thats all i can do today guys! I am so tired.

Stay tuned….. :-D
